Travertine

TRAVERTINE — rock, formed as a deposit of calcareous mineral springs. The most famous travertine is the one from Italy, where there is its biggest deposit. There can be any color of travertine, but more often you can find white, yellow and transitional colors between them. White travertine is normally left unpolished, because its warm color and rough surface finish looks in some cases more attractive, than cold glitter of a polished stone. It is used as a construction material.
